Skin Concern
Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
When antiperspirant stops being enough.
Understanding
What’s really
going on
Hyperhidrosis is sweating beyond what the body needs to keep cool. The sweat glands themselves are normal; the nerve signals telling them to work are simply overactive, so the underarms can soak through a shirt on a mild day. Antiperspirants, even prescription-strength ones, help some people, but for many the sweating carries on regardless.
Dr. Sarai treats underarm hyperhidrosis with therapeutic Botox®: a series of small injections that interrupt the nerve signal driving the glands, with sweating in the treated area easing over the following days and the effect lasting for months. Therapeutic Botox® may be covered by extended health benefits, so patients with a plan should discuss it with their family physician; with authorization and a prescription for your Botox®, the clinic charges a $450 injector fee.
Not sure which treatment is right for you? Every plan starts with a consultation and a proper look at your skin.

Treat
A series of small Botox® injections is placed across the underarm area in a short appointment.
