Migraines

Medical treatment for a medical condition.

Understanding

What’s really
going on

Migraines are a neurological condition, and when attacks become frequent they can shape how whole weeks are planned. Therapeutic Botox® is an established option for chronic migraine: injected into specific sites of the head and face, it is thought to calm the overactive nerve signalling involved in migraine pain, with the aim of reducing how often migraine days occur.

Dr. Sarai provides therapeutic Botox® following the PREEMPT protocol: 155 units placed across defined injection sites of the head and face, repeated on a set schedule. As a family physician of 15 years, she manages this as medical care rather than a cosmetic visit. Therapeutic Botox® may be covered by extended health benefits, so if you have a plan, it is worth discussing with your family physician; with authorization and a prescription for your Botox®, the clinic charges a $450 injector fee.

Not sure which treatment is right for you? Every plan starts with a consultation and a proper look at your skin.
