Skin Concern

Redness

Red skin is a symptom, not a diagnosis.

Understanding

What’s really
going on

Facial redness is a symptom with several possible causes, not a single condition. Skin can flush with heat, exercise or emotion; it can turn reactive after wind, cold or harsh products; tiny capillaries near the surface can dilate or break and stay visible; and blemishes can leave red marks behind long after they have healed. Working out which of these is driving the colour is the first step to doing anything useful about it.

The most important call is whether the redness is actually rosacea, a specific chronic condition with its own pattern: central-face flushing that comes in flares, set off by triggers, sometimes with bumps alongside. Telling the two apart is exactly what Dr. Sarai’s examination settles, and if rosacea is the answer, it has its own approach and its own page here (see our rosacea page). For everyday redness, BBL® HEROic light therapy is the anchor: the visible vessels absorb the light, close down, and fade over the days that follow. Where redness follows breakouts, Forever Clear BBL®’s calming light can help, with options from gentle peels through laser resurfacing supporting the surrounding skin, all confirmed at your consultation.

Not sure which treatment is right for you? Every plan starts with a consultation and a proper look at your skin.

The Plan

Three Steps To Calmer-Looking Skin

  1. Assess

Dr. Sarai examines the pattern of your redness and settles the key question first: everyday redness or rosacea.

  2. Treat

A plan anchored by BBL® HEROic light therapy for persistent redness and visible vessels, broadened from gentle peels through laser resurfacing where the surrounding skin needs support.

  3. Maintain

Sun protection and barrier-supporting skincare help keep the calmed tone stable, with maintenance sessions planned if redness creeps back.
